Zurich, Switzerland

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Swiss-Philippine bilateral relations, the Swiss Embassy organised a trip to Switzerland with a few influencers, including me, so we could experience what their awesome country has to offer. We did six cities in seven days— crazy, right? I was able to see how different urban cities are from the other “chiller” areas and I’ll share with you guys everything here! Everyone knows it’s the land of cheese and chocolates, but you’ll be surprised with the other things you can enjoy when you visit Switzerland. Say hello to our first stop: Zurich!

We arrived in Zurich early morning, checked in, ate breakfast, and took the train to Lucerne for a half day tour, but that’s another story.

Zurich lies at the north end of Lake Zurich in northern Switzerland and is known as the global centre for banking and finance. I was so happy to be able to go around at a time where there weren’t so many people in the streets (I forgot the reason why, but it was like ghost town on my first day here) so I could take really nice OOTDs lol.

Bahnhofplatz is the famous shopping street and I passed by here almost everyday during my stay because it was the easiest route from my hotel to the train station (also included in the photo). Can you imagine how much will power you have to have to not stop at any stores even if you see the sale sign? Lol.

After our short visit to Lucerne, we stopped by Walliser Kanne for dinner, a Swiss traditional restaurant and we ate all the fondue there. Seriously.

The following day, we went to Old Town wherein we got to see Zurich’s oldest residential districts called Schipfe.

One of my mom’s bilins to me every time I travel to a new destination: go inside a church, pray and make three wishes and I’m so happy I was able to do it in Zurich. I went inside this beautiful cathedral and made sure I made my momma proud.

Sitting on the edge overlooking Limmat River and the city. Dreams do come true! This is truly one of the best places you can go to in Zurich if you want to enjoy a good view. Beside it is a park and there aren’t a lot of people who chill here so if you want some quiet time alone or with a companion, claim this as your spot.

Human size chess game! I wanted to play with David Guison but kulang na sa time lol.

We also got to try the best hot chocolate in town, according to our tour guide, at Peclard in Schober. It’s to die for!

Group shot with these amazing influencers David Guison, Patricia Prieto and Aileen Adalid and of course, the coolest member of the Swiss embassy team, Diana Chan. More of my Switzerland adventure soon! BMS.
