Where to Go in Taiwan II

Things to do in Taiwan

Taiwan travel diary II coming your way! I don’t think you’ll ever run out of things to do in Taiwan. I was there for 5 days filled and my trip was packed and I still wish we extended. Anyway, we make a visit at the National Centre for Traditional Arts during out third day and got surprised because the area is so huge! They have a temple inside and lots of stores too. There are also several museums so you can spend one whole day here and not be bored.

A visit to the Kavalan Whisky Distillery was also something new for me. I haven’t been to any place similar to this and for someone like me who loves to drink, I’m pretty sure I enjoyed our visit. Basically we toured around their factory and was able to see how they make whisky from scratch. We even got to have a glass of whisky afterwards!

If you haven’t gone to Jhifen old street market’s famous sky lantern area- you must go. Nicole and I wrote all our wishes on one sky lantern and watched it fly away. Hopefully our wishes come true! Heh heh.

Taiwan is also known for their hot springs, and there are so many hot spring spas around the area. We managed to try one out, and even if it’s not the real thing (I mean out in the open), it’s still worth the experience. Apparently you can only stay inside the water for a certain time, so make sure to ask someone when you try it yourself.

We tried LOTS of Taiwanese dishes and all I can say is, I’m a fan!

We made a quick stop at the National Palace Museum. If you love knowing about one country’s history, you’ll love this place.

I always find myself shopping and trying out different kinds of food at night markets every time I’m in Taipei. I think that’s one of the things I like most about Taiwan— unlike the usual agenda wherein you drink and party at night because there’s nothing else to do, here you get to explore all the night markets! Play games, eat, shop.. In short, have fun.

I’ll definitely come back and will eat more food, explore more places and have an unforgettable time. Taiwan, you are amazing and I can’t wait to be back! Thank you again Ever Rich Duty Free and Lions Travel for this opportunity! BMS.

I use Sony a7ii with 25mm zeiss batis lens, but if you’re looking for a small camera, I highly suggest Panasonic LX100. 🙂
