Seoul Travel Diary ’16

Dior Cafe Korea

Annyeong Haseyo! I’m so happy I was able to go to Korea last month with my college besties. Seriously, I am in love with everything about Seoul- their quirky fashion, Korean bbq, quaint cafes, cool local shops, flavoured soju (yes, pati to) and a lot more. There are so many things you can do here, but for this trip I think we practically just went on a food and shopping trip. Lol. Let me share with you guys some of things I did during my travel.

Myeongdong Korea

We stayed at Hotel Shin Shin, which is a nice boutique hotel in Myeongdong. I love the location because there’s a very delicious korean bbq restaurant that’s just a few minutes away.

We went to Leeum, also known at the Samsung Museum of Art in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu. Inside you’ll get to see Korean traditional art and contemporary art. Unfortunately, picture taking is not allowed inside so I guess you’ll have to go personally to see it yourself. Lol.

Garuso-gil. This is my favourite area. All the cool cafes and shops are here. I always end up here every time I go to Seoul because there are just so many things you can do around the vicinity. Everything here is also Instagram-worthy, so make sure you’re wearing your best “laid-back” look when you’re here.

After 3-4 days of eating Korean bbq, we decided to eat Mexican cuisin for lunch. Lol.

We wanted to have coffee during the afternoon, which is nakaka “titas of Manila” hahaha but we don’t care- our last out of town trip that was just us four was probably 5-6 years ago, so we really wanted to bond and catch up. Since Kalene and Nana live in the province, it’s very hard for us to be complete. Kaya ang saya naming lahat sa Korea!

At night, we decided to go pub hopping in Itaewon. We didn’t have any idea where we were gonna go— we just played it by ear. We ended up having one cocktail drink per pub until we found a really nice place to chill. We really liked this cool basement bar that has a collection of vinyl records and you can request a song for them to play. Really cool!
