Salvation Mountain, California

Last November, I went on an amazing trip to California! I know, this post is way waaay behind schedule but I still wanted to share this short and meaningful trip with you guys. I got to visit Salvation Mountain—a hillside art installation covered in messages of God’s love that was hand-built by Leonard Knight!

It was a beautiful folk-art monument in the middle of the dessert—very hard to miss since it’s the only colorful place for miles. I can tell you guys that this place is definitely something you need to visit if you’re ever in California.

Just a quick overview of my look: I wore the perfect outfit for travelling that day with a loose button-down top from Love, Bonito, comfy trousers from H&M, and kickass blue boots from Moschino for a chic yet comfortable look.

A little backstory—Knight strongly believed that God wanted him to spread the message of His love even in such a hostile environment such as this desert, so he began working on this colorful masterpiece. Honestly? It was a very positive environment and our visit there was a breathtaking spiritual experience.

I was with my girl Trasienne, and we were lucky enough to catch the picturesque sunset before we left! I highly recommend you guys to come right before the sunset—the gradient sky itself is a sight to behold.
