Lucky me! My first time in Tokyo and I already saw Sakura– well, one Sakura tree, but it’s totally fine with me. I can’t even explain to you what I felt when I saw cherry blossoms. We told our Cool Japan/ 100 Tokyo tour guides to find us Sakura since we came a few weeks in advance before their actual bloom. Good thing we went to Shinjuku Gyoen Park and found a Sakura tree there- yes, only one tree but worth driving and seeing for. It’s so pretty and pink and just absolutely worth staring for hours and hours (although I didn’t do that because we had to go watch Tokyo Runway after lol). My parents went to Tokyo a week after my trip and it was at the perfect time. They were telling me how beautiful it is to see all the white/pink Sakura trees together and that we should go there again next year as a family. Hmm, maybe we should. I can just imagine the feeling I felt when I saw one Sakura tree- but like 100x more awesome. BMS.
