Private Tour: Marimekko Headquarters

A few months ago, I went to Finland for #HelsinkiSecret Residences– and I know it’s supposed to be a secret but I’m sharing with you guys all the wonderful things I was able to do and see during my trip. The team booked me at this amazing apartment called Aallonkoti that’s only a bus stop or a 5-10 minute walk from the main railway station, which was so convenient. Not only that, everything inside the apartment is designed by Funn Juhl and Marimekko! What a sweet surprise. For today’s post, I’ll be sharing with you guys my experience visiting the Marimekko outlet + a private tour inside the headquarters.

Cutest printed bed + pillow sheets ever! We stayed here for one week and every night was just so cozy and relaxing. Most of the furniture inside the apartment was made by THE Finn Juhl— one of the most famous Danish architect, interior and industrial designer, most known for his furniture design. Honestly loved everything inside this apartment! We went to the Marimekko headquarters (where the outlet is also located) and had lunch at Maritori first. Time for the private tour, all thanks to Helsinki Secret Residences! They’re really known for their loud and bold prints. Here’s where they create the colors and prints. They’re very organized when it comes to coloring and printing the fabrics. They have an area where they check the colors, print it, wash it, steam it so the color stays. To know more about their process and my experience inside the Marimekko Headquarters, you can check out my travel vlog HERE. Shopping time!!!!!!!!!! They have items that are 40-70% off and if only I could buy everything, I would. I got bed sheets and a cute sling bag. More about our adventure soon. BMS.
