New York Travel Diary 1

Where do I start.. There are just so many beautiful things I’d like to share with you guys during my trip to New York. But before I say anything, let me first thank Guess for flying me there to attend their Road To Nashville party- it was such a blast!!! I went there with Obee Ham from Guess Philippines and Cai Subijano of Philippine Star. I’ll be sharing more photos about the event soon but for now, let me share to you what I did for the first two days that I was there.

I flew via Cathay Pacific and boy, did I make the right decision. I really chose the best airline to fly with, especially when you’ll be inside the plane for more than 17 hours. I had a stop over in Hong Kong for two hours and enjoyed so much at the Cathay Pacific lounge.

Their lounge is so huge and nice! It’s probably one of the biggest lounges I’ve seen- they have these cool chairs so you can have your private time.

I loved their noodle bar- they serve yummy dim sum and noodles!!! I love how they have specific areas like the noodle bar, coffee loft, main lobby- yes, it’s that big! They even have shower rooms.

My favourite area- the computer room. I love how accommodating all the servers are too. The entire lounge looks so sleek and it’s so comfy to stay there.

Boarding time! I flew via business class and didn’t have any hard time during the entire trip. It’s totally worth flying business class if you know you’ll be flying for a long time. You won’t be having any back ache afterwards for sure and you’ll get the privacy you’ve always wanted. Just look how spacious your area is! You’ll have your own table, a reclining seat that turns into a bed and a lot more.

My flight was at 5am to Hong Kong then 10am to New York so just imagine how sleepy I was when I got to the plane. I was so comfortable with my seat that I slept for so many hours wonderfully. Thank you again Cathay Pacific– you guys are awesome!

When we got to New York, it was around 2pm so we just freshened up and started strolling around New York. First stop: The Grand Central station.

Next thing we did? EAT!!! Eat at Shake Shack- aww yes! My first time trying it and it was love at first bite. Seriously, I love their burgers and fries. It’s a must-try when you go to New York.

Empire State Building. Thank you for making it colors of the Philippine Flag (red, blue and yellow) when typhoon Yolanda happened.

Wore my thick jacket and neon bag from Ambry the first night. I was soooo cold!!!!! Snowing levels cold haha. Coming from my Korea trip the week before this trip, I thought I could handle it- I was wrong. I needed more layers!

We met up with our friend Toff De Venecia for dinner and to watch Kinky Boots, a broadway show that won the Tony Awards (Best Musical) last year. I absolutely loved the show! It’s really my type- fun and light. A must watch for beckies! Hehehe.

Times Square- you are just absolutely bright and amazing. I don’t think I even have to explain why this is really a place to visit when you’re here. You just know it.

Hello from us! Toff De Venecia, Stacy Rodriguez, Obee Ham and Cai Subijano. Okay, guys, thank you so much for taking my outfit shots and Instagram photos- ang tiyaga niyo!

Thank you Roger Hotel for taking good care of us. I loved my stay here.

Picture perfect view of Central Park. I am in love with Central Park- I heard it’s even more beautiful during summer.

I was strolling around SM Aura the day before my flight to New York when I went inside the Stuart Weitzman store because I saw these boots on the window display. I wanted to buy it right away for this trip and boy, did I make the right choice. My feet felt warm all though out the day! It’s actually my first pair of boots that’s this nice. I’m petite so I love how the heels are just right, making it perfect for me to still wear it the whole day. My feet never felt uncomfortable!

I love being with these girls!

More New York travel photos soon. BMS.
