The weather in Milan was definitely better than New York’s and I had a lovely time walking around the city, just breathing in all the beautiful sights. For day 2 of MFW, I had a fully-packed schedule: a shoot with Ferragamo and a ton of presentations all day long!
I’m loving my whole outfit here and how playful and chic it is. The pleated skirt I wore this day was from Derek Lam; I had so much fun playing around with it while taking these shots—pleated skirts were made for twirling, am I right?
I mentioned in my MFW Day 1 post that it was my first time attending MFW, so I was seeing all these shows for the first time and it was a pretty exciting experience. Anyway, the first show I went to was Anteprima, and although it was too bad that I didn’t take any pictures, they had a beautiful Fall/Winter collection. You can check out the looks here.
Next on the agenda was the Emilio Pucci Fall 2019 Collection with the themed presentation of a journey into a Japanese garden!
The show featured an array of different textiles from wool to embroidered sequins and colors ranging from pastels to deep red and blue colors. I especially loved the use of different textures and patterns; that definitely made a bold and lasting statement.
Unlikely color combinations and drastic patterns were the foundation of the whole collection, along with the pairings of different textures. A hint of Japanese influence can be seen with the flowy, liquid-like structure of the looks—from the pleated skirts to the obi-sashed dresses.
What I loved most about these looks were how the pleated silk skirts gracefully flowed and followed the curves and how the Kimono sleeves brought about a subtle Japanese touch to whole collection. Everything was just so elegant and stunning.
Overall, the Emilio Pucci Fall Collection was simple and effortless, yet striking and impactful! I can’t wait to share more about my MFW experience with you guys. Things have been pretty hectic lately but I’ll be uploading day 3 next. Let me know what you think so far! Comments are appreciated. x
