London: Brick Lane

I’m back to posting my London travel diaries for you guys! I swear, I really have a hard time choosing photos because if I show everything to you guys, it will probably be 100+ per post! Seriously, I am in love with London. Everyone is so fashionable and hip! Even the places are so artsy. My post this time is about Brick Lane. It’s a famous street in East London and it’s also known as Banglatown because it’s the heart of the city’s Bangladeshi-Sylheti community. It’s also famous of its many curry houses (I got to try some when I went to their market). Here’s what I wore during that day.

(Rayban sunglasses, H&M top, Topshop coat, Proenza Schouler bag, Sheinside shorts, Topshop sandals)

Denim on denim. I’m really loving this look, and speaking of this wardrobe staple, do check out our next Stylized episode on ETC this Friday at 9pm. It’s going to be all about denim and how you can rock it in different ways!

Yes, it’s definitely Banglatown!

Brick Lane for me is kind of similar to Shoreditch. I saw a lot of graffiti street art and everyone there is just so laid back. It’s also one of the chaotic artistic hub that’s why they attract a lot of young Londoners. Aside from their lovely exteriors, there are so many shopping places here too!

Here I am with my school buddies Raymond and sister Liz.

Yes, we have a crew following us around! Superstar mode hahaha. It’s not for our show though, it’s for Raymond’s show on E! Asia called “It Take Gutz To Be A Gutierrez”. I got to cameo! Yay!

If you want affordable and yummy food, go here! They have so many ethnic restaurants and everything just tastes delicious. I went to their indoor market and tried so many delicious dishes! I love curry and I guess I came to the right place. Oh my, this post is making me hungry right now.

Inside the market, you’ll not only see food stalls but you’ll see people selling clothes and accessories as well. At the back corner, I spotted some vintage finds like sunglasses and rings. It’s really cool.

There’s also a street outside the market where people just sit on the sidewalk and eat. Yes, I tried it too!

You’ll also get to see a lot of street performers. I really am in love with London!

When you’re in another country, I’m sure you always think, “How am I going to get affordable data roaming?” That’s usually my problem! I always want to be connected to everyone and now, I’m so happy Smart Communications announced their All-Day Surf Abroad promo! You can stay connected online for as low as P450/day in selected destinations in Asia and Oceania and P550/day in major destinations like Europe, Africa, Middle East and USA. It’s also available for Smart prepaid subscribers too! Now I don’t have to worry about bill shock or unwanted data charges. Thank you Smart Communications for making it easier for all of us.
