Fresh Start: Self-Defense Class

Fresh Start: Self-Defense Class

Trying something out for the first time always sounds a bit scary because you don’t know how good you are at something or if you can actually do it, but it’s always better to learn something new than not learn anything at all right? Whether it be riding a bike for the first time, learning a new language or even playing a sport you’ve never tried your entire life- a fresh start is always a good thing. What better way to make your learning process more fun and entertaining? Do it with your barkada. It’s something my blogger besties and I are doing recently and not only do we try something new out, it’s also our bonding session weekly. We already tried how to ride the bike (Lissa and I are beginners and Nicole was just there to support us) and it’s something we’ve been wanting to do for so long! With the help of Bike PH, we were able to successfully do it! Since Lissa suggested that one, I told them to take a self-defense class with me.

I think all the girls should take at least one self-defense class just in case we encounter any problems and emergencies in the future. It’s very important we know the basic moves if someone tries to get our bag or harm us. Nicole, Lissa and I went to Elorde in Arnaiz Ave and took a one-hour self-defense session. If you want to inquire about these classes, you can call 02-7102151.

We learned a lot in one hour like what to do when somebody tries to steal your bag, what to do when someone tries to get your wallet by pointing a knife in your throat, how to escape when somebody’s choking you and a lot more. It’s all our first time taking up self-defense class and it’s very informative. I’m really enjoying this Fresh Start that me and my barkada are doing because we all get to suggest and start something new weekly. I can’t wait for our next Fresh Start class! Any suggestions we should do? And how about you guys, what’s that thing you’ve been wanting to try and do for the longest time? Start Mo Na yan! Every time I learn something new, I try and share it on Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #StartMoNa to inspire other people who also want to try something new. With Nescafe’s Start Mo Na Rediscover you passion that have been set aside. Try it too- I guarantee you’ll feel great after! BMS.
