Okay, I have to admit. I did nothing but eat in Vancouver. It also didn’t help that I was surrounded with my relatives who are all foodies too! I went to Canada a few months ago to attend my cousin’s wedding and I got to hang out with my uncles and cousins that I haven’t seen for years. It was a pretty big reunion. Just imagine the chaos every time we’d go inside a restaurant and ask for a table that’s good for 15-20 people. Lol. I was also able to do a mini meet and greet (my first time to do a non work-related meet and greet outside the country) and didn’t expect to meet so many of my readers there. Seriously, kinilig ako ng bongga! I got tons of gifts and I had so much fun chatting with everyone. Anyway, here are some photos from my trip.
Davie street. Love this neighborhood! We ate at Stepho’s Souvlaki Greek Taverna, which is located there and had the best homestyle Greek dishes.
Love wins! Isn’t this pedestrian lane so pretty?!
Time to get full! My brother Vince booked us all a food tasting and educational walking tour around Gastown via Vancouver Foodie Tour and we were able to try some famous Canadian dishes and amazing desserts. After this experience, it actually made me want to do a food tour in each new city that I go to.
First stop: Six Acres. Here we got to try Poutine, which consists of french fries and cheese curds topped with gravy. Imagine if this had bacon bits too. Oh em.

Second stop: Nicli Antica Pizzeria. They serve these amazing pizza and they have homage juices with a twist! If you’re a pizza lover, you’d definitely enjoy eating here.

Third stop: The Capilano Tea House. It’s a quaint little spot that’s perfect if you want to relax and read a book without anybody disturbing you. Their tea quality is so good and their botanical sodas are so refreshing. They also served up pika-pikas and I pretty much finished everything. Lol.

Fourth stop: Mosquito Dessert and Champagne Restaurant. This is my most favourite. Their dessert list is incredible and I forgot the one we got but it’s a must-try. I swear. If you’re having a fancy date, you guys can go here for some sweets and drinks.

We were also able to go to Prospect Point at Stanley Park and got to enjoy this amazing view. Seeing my clan and hanging out with them for two weeks straight really made my 2016 complete. Kuya Nick is probably one of my closest cousins and I really got depressed when he moved to Canada a few years back. Now, seeing him happily married and mature (I swear, sorbing immature naming dati hahaha) just makes me so proud and happy.
With my beautiful momma.
I’m definitely coming back to see more spots, try more food and drink more coffee. BMS.
