Yes, I’ve been to HK twice this month– only because may seat sale lol and everything I did was really budgeted. First time was for my friend’s 30th birthday (we surprised her) and the second time was a late holiday vacation with Miggy. He was working the entire holiday break and we didn’t get a chance to go anywhere so before fashion madness month starts, we decided to take a short trip to HK. Tipid Tips For Traveling

People usually ask me how I manage to travel a lot without overspending. Honestly, most of my trips abroad are usually for work– but when it comes to my personal trips, I make sure I don’t spend a lot on unnecessary things. Here are a few tricks and tips I apply to myself when I’m planning my vacation. I promise you, after watching this video, you’ll say “Oo nga noh!!! Bakit hindi ko to naisip” lol. 60 Hours No Sleep in Seoul, South Korea

This was probably one of the most exciting things I’ve done last year. I was invited to be part of Viu’s new show called “No Sleep, No FOMO” that will be airing next month. Basically, the show is all about how you can maximize your time in a new city/country if you only have less than 3 days there. 60 hours of no sleep might sound scary and tiring, but I honestly had the best time with Paul Foster (the main host) and Nat Ho. We went to Seoul and literally did so many challenges– spicy noodle challenge, snowboarding, dance lessons (my fave!), and a lot more.

Honestly didn’t want to do the snowboard challenge because it was my first time trying the sport and we had to go to the slope right away. Lol. Paul and Nat gave me encouraging words so I did it– but really I was forced. Joke hahaha. I fell HARD plenty of times but managed to finish the challenge so hurray!

We also took dance lessons. Ang SAYA ko dito because growing up I was always into music and dancing– hindi lang talaga ako magaling lol. Catch No Sleep, No FOMO on Viu next month. Download the app! Excited for this episode to come out.

Since I’m getting ready for my first trip this 2019, here’s a TBT of my look during one of my first few trips last year. Also, get ready for a lot of TBTs because I’ve so much photos to post I haven’t really uploaded anywhere lol. I wore this when I was in HK around March last year. The weather was great, chilly but not cold. I got this beautiful coords from Society A, one of my favorite luxury websites. They have a good selection of Asian designers, including the one I’m wearing right now, Ying the Label.

Merry Christmas and a Happy 2019!

Bagong taon nanaman guys! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday break– I know I did. I stayed in Manila and enjoyed spending time with my family and friends. I really like being in the city after Christmas because walang traffic and I really get to just slow it down and take a break. After traveling so much for work the past few months, I literally wanted to just Netflix and chill the entire holiday week! I was also thinking of my New Year’s resolutions this 2019 and I’m sharing a few here.

First on the list is to be more active on my blog again. I think I enjoyed vlogging way too much last year and completely forgot about my original platform, which is my Break My Style– and I feel so bad about it! What’s even worse, I was contemplating if I should completely stop writing and concentrate more on videos. Then I realized, I won’t be where I am now without my blog. I started blogging when I was 21 years old and yes, iba na ang online world now because of social media platforms like Instagram and Snapchat, but my blog is a platform where I share all my stories (longer ones that I won’t ever post on IG) and feelings. I still look at my blog as a personal diary, a journal where I’m able to express myself. A travel / style guide for those who want to know more about my experiences. So this 2019, I am going to start blogging again.

Second is to eat healthier. I’m a muncher. I will eat anything that’s in front of me even if I’m not hungry. I love chocolates, ice cream, and cakes and I think these will be the hardest to let go. I’m trying to have self control now and say no to certain dishes / desserts I know will do me no good. Diet lang (and have a cheat day once a week) until I reach my dream body. More veggies and less carbs.

Third is to exercise more. I love boxing / muay thai and I love going to the gym, but when I’m out of the country, I can’t seem to get myself to workout. I make excuses like there’s not enough time or I wanna explore the city instead or I’m too tired. I now have resistance loop bands (sport brands) and a jump rope that can easily fit my luggage so even if I’m traveling, I’ll have time to squeeze in a quick workout kahit sa loob lang ako ng room.

Fourth is to spend more time with family and friends. I remember crying so much when my friends surprised me during my birthday last October because I really didn’t expect I was gonna see all of them on my special day. Now matter how busy we all are, let’s not forget to spend time with our loved ones.

Fifth is to visit a new destination this year. Nuff said.

How I Spent My Birthday!

September 25-October 2: Paris. October 3-7: Bali. October 7-11: Palawan. I’ve been traveling non stop pre birthday that it really didn’t sink in that I was gonna celebrate my birthday in one of my favorite islands in the Philippines. I went to Puerto Princesa first to attend a wedding and had my salubong there, then drove to El Nido to catch the sunset on my actual birthday day. Here’s what happened during our Palawan trip:

We spent most of our time at Maremegmeg beach bar (that’s going to become Maremegmeg beach club soon). We arrived here in time for sunset session and Miggy distracted me by ordering cheesy bacon fries while he set up our dinner by the beach. This was our 7-course dinner menu. We had dinner by the beach, candles surrounding us everywhere. It was such a romantic dinner! No pictures of us during the actual dinner para QT talaga. The following day, together with the newly weds and some friends, we wen’t island hopping and had the best boodle fight for lunch. I really needed a break from work and documenting myself (a few pictures here and there won’t hurt but I mean walang vlogging and shooting for brands sa trip na naganap). This was supposed to be my birthday outfit but it became my post birthday lewk. Lol. I really wanted to extend but I also wanted to go back home– ended up going back home and celebrated my birthday with family during the weekend. Oh, and my besties threw me a surprise party too. So did my followers. Okay na ako dun. Sobrang taba na ng puso ko.

Why I Haven’t Blogged In A Month

Hi guys! Sorry if I’ve been MIA on my blog– it was just so hard for me to juggle work, work trips, vlogging, and posting on my social media platforms all at the same time. I don’t love my blog the least, I guess I was just a bit lost last month and didn’t want to write about anything I feel like you guys wouldn’t want to read (does that make sense?). People say it’s because I’m about to reach 30 (turning 29 in two months) or the reason can be something deeper but I was just thinking of you guys, my readers / followers. Sometimes I wonder if you guys still feel inspired whenever I post something online, or if I make you guys laugh when I post entertaining videos, or if you really value my opinion whenever I do product reviews. This feeling triggered when I opened my Instagram one day and my feed was just all picture-perfect travel photos. Nothing wrong about it, I myself am guilty of wanting to take photos when I’m traveling; but as a blogger who takes pictures for a living, I know the hard work behind these beautiful images and it made me wonder if people are doing it because they love doing it or do people do it just to impress other people? It also made me think– do I travel for pleasure or for content? Since most of my trips are mostly for work, it’s inevitable for me not to take photos because I have deadlines to reach. And I think I just reached a point where I just needed a break from social media. I needed a trip where I can just freely leave my camera and just explore/ unwind the whole day. My recent trips were all like that– more chill, more relaxed. And when I do take photos for me to post on Instagram, it’s always in the moment. I didn’t go out of my way just to get that “instagrammable” shot– and I feel so much better now. There’s always a story behind the picture and I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but my posts are more candid now, and I like it. It’s my 8th year of blogging now and the landscape is constantly changing and ayoko lang magpakain sa systema na kailangan lahat perfect online. I didn’t start blogging because I wanted people to see that I have a perfect life; I started blogging because I wanted to share my love for fashion and inspire you guys in the littlest way I can. Social media can be quite toxic, don’t let it get to you. I guess I just needed a break for a few weeks to reflect on myself and after 2-3 trips where I didn’t even bother taking out my camera, I feel recharged. And to those who constantly message me when I”ll be uploading a blog post next, thank you for waiting. I’m back!

My Bag Collection!

As requested, I’m sharing with you guys my bag collection! Grabe, sharing all my bag stories really made me reminisce about my teenage life– when I purchased my first bag, hand-me-downs from my mom and sister, items I used to borrow when I was in college, obsession over clutches/ fanny packs, etc. I mentioned on my vlog that I consider bags as an investment and a reward for all the hard work I put each day. We all work so hard and I feel like we sometimes need to treat ourselves too. Now I’m so happy I get to tell you guys my bag journey. Most people also commented that I do a part 2 kasi “bitin” daw sila sa first part so cyempre I listened lol.
