After the very long holiday vacation, I’m now back to blogging! I’m really sorry if I haven’t been posting continuously these past few weeks… I really wanted to spend time with my family and give all my attention to them! To be honest, I missed my laptop so much! And now, prepare to be bombarded with a lot of posts again- I’m starting with Digital Fashion Week Bangkok day 1. While I was editing the photos, I can’t help but miss the entire DFW team and bloggers/ insiders. It was such a fun two weeks for me. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was greeted by all these freebies from DFW’s sponsors. Woot!
Before everything started, some of the bloggers got interviewed about what we think of the previous shows and what we’re expecting in the next few shows.
Designer Cristiano Burani opened the show with his beautiful pastel pieces and norm core looks with a wonderful twist. I’ve already seen his designs during DFW Singapore and still had the same reaction when the models walked the runway wearing his pieces. I specifically loved the gingham black and white pieces because it’s something I’d wear over and over again. The matching cropped tops and bags are also my favourite!
Nagara’s show is definitely worth watching. Production level at its fullest! Aside from the models, they also had celebrities walk the runway. I also spotted Elle Thailand’s style editor Ploy Chava two seats away from me! I enjoyed watching both shows because the two designers definitely had different themes and looks in mind. While Cristiano Burani played with modern looks, Nagara has that ethnic feel with an excellent and fashionable twist. The woven shorts and dresses are outstanding and the prints can definitely make anyone turn their heads towards you. More about the other shows soon! BMS.
