I don’t think I’ve ever really posted a whole story about what to wear and where to go on a date night. Since I’ve been going on dates recently (and no, this is not just with a guy you’re dating, it can be with friends and siblings too!), I decided to make a post on what I consider would be a very nice and romantic date night. Naks! Gumaganon! Hahaha. Rule number 1, choose a very classy dress when going on a date with someone. I know I love wearing edgy pieces, but guys still like girls who can be versatile and can dress very sophisticated. You also don’t want to show too much skin. I chose this dress from Hokk Fabrica because it’s simply elegant. Colors I’d choose to wear on dates would be black, white or red. Black because it’s the safest (and it makes you look thinner too!), red if you want to look more mature and sexy, and white because it makes you look like an angel! This Hokk Fabrica dress can be worn and accessorised in so many ways, that’s why I love it. The length is just right and you won’t look like you’re not too dressed to impress.
For a nice dinner date, try going to Urbn Bar and Kitchen– you’ll be surprised how delicious their food are! I know it’s known to be a club during nighttime, but when you go there during 7-9pm, it’s such a nice place to chill and dine. Their yellow lights make the ambiance a bit romantic too!
We ordered stuffed mushroom with chorizo and manchego soufflé for our appetizer. The stuffed mushroom with chorizo is a new dish and it’s a must-try!
Of course, a dinner date wouldn’t be complete without wine. I recently discovered this Honey Badger red wine and it’s my new favorite! If you like sweet wine, then you’ll definitely love this. It has a nice full aroma with a hint of smoky ripe berry, oak and dark chocolate. I enjoy drinking full bodied reds but I still want my wine sweet, so this one’s just right. It’s nice to drink it and have a nice conversation with your date while waiting for your food to arrive.
And what goes well with wine? STEAK!!! Urbn’s steak is to die for. Some girls tend to order little or eat a little when they’re on a date, I prefer letting a guy know that I’m a girl who can eat so he won’t feel awkward that he’s just the only one ordering and eating a lot. I loved the combination of the Honey Badger red wine and steak together.
Duck and risotto for my date. We ended up sharing our dishes because both looked so yummy.
After dinner at Urbn Bar and Kitchen, we still stayed and had a wonderful conversation while drinking wine. I was really into our conversation and didn’t notice that we actually spent hours just chatting and having a great time. Honey Badger red wine has this very smooth quality and is easy to drink, perfect for date nights. BMS.
