Music Festivals are becoming popular nowadays. This year alone, there have been numerous music festivals and it gets bigger and bigger each year. I was invited to attend the La Union Soul Surf that was sponsored by Guess Philippines last month and boy was it fun! The concept itself is unique and probably a first in the country- but if you ask me its should been done years ago. I saw a lot of familiar faces from Manila who drove all the way there just to attend the festival. Travel time was approximately 6 hours but when you’re with good company its really not that long. Most people I’m sure started the party on the way there! Saturday was the funnest day for me, I stayed at the Guess Pool Party at Kahuna Beach with my close friends and we enjoyed the sun, water and most of all, the bottomless drinks. At night, the DJs took over and gave us some really great music. The atmosphere was just amazing! During my last day there, I tried surfing for the first time with my friends. I’m not really into water sports but surfing was amazing. it helped that I was with my friends who were also first timers. I highly recommend it to everyone! The feeling when you’re on top of the board is just breath taking and unexplainable- well for me it is hahaha. Soul Surf was a great experience for me, and one of the best events I’ve attended this year. I can’t wait to be back next year! I’m sure it’ll be bigger and better. I can’t thank enough Guess Philippines for the opportunity. I’ll definitely ride that board harder next time around.
