I know this is such a late travel post but I still want to share my Prague adventure with you guys. You know that feeling when a place is just so beautiful that you can’t even believe you’re actually there? That was me when I saw all the breathtaking spots in Prague. I only went there for three days and wished I extended for a week.
We stayed at Old Town Square Hotel which is a really good area if you want to see all the historical places. It’s located at Old Town Square and once you step out of the hotel, there’s this really good ice cream parlour on the left and the astronomical clock already in front of you. There are also so many stalls in the middle of the area selling so many good food and sweets like crepes, waffles, etc.
The famous astronomical clock, also known as the Prague oriole, is a medieval astronomical clock that was first installed in 1410 and it’s the third oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest one working. On the side, you’ll see St. Vitus Cathedral, a Roman Catholic metropolitan cathedral, the seat of the Archbishop of Prague. It’s gothic architecture is one of a kind and it’s the biggest and most important church in the country.
Love goofing around with my siblings!
They also do Segway tours in Prague!
The gate of Prague Castle is beautiful. According to the Guinness Book of Records, it’s the largest ancient castle in the world. Before entering the castle, you’ll go through a gate adorned with sculptures of Titans and it’s guarded by two guards. We were super lucky to watch the changing of the guards too!
Archbishop Palace. It’s situated on the north side of the square right by the Prague Castle. It has served as a seat of the Prague’s archbishops since 1562. Now it’s known as the seat of Catholic Church in Prague.
What a view.
Old Town Square at night is also beautiful. I spent the entire day walking around the city with my family and I didn’t mind that it was 2 degrees cold because the experience was incredible. I love sightseeing and I love learning about a country’s history and culture. Prague is definitely one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen in my life so far. Travel diary II soon! BMS.
