My 12-Day Workout Routine

Ever since I came back from my Sinulog trip last January 18, I was pressured to work out and be fit before my Bohol trip last weekend. It was so hard getting back on track after eating and drinking everything in Cebu (when you’re out of town, you really just can’t go on a diet!), but I managed to drag my lazy butt to the gym almost everyday before my beach trip (if you follow me on Snapchat, you’ll know I gym at Elorde Elite every afternoon). I only had 12 days to burn whatever I ate during the holidays and Sinulog trip and allow me to share my workout routine with you guys.

I do boxing and muay thai because I always have to be up on my toes and running. I guess I’m not the yoga/pilates type of girl. I usually start by jogging around the gym or do skip rope for 10 minutes followed by a 5 minute stretching/jumping jacks/high knees/ butt kicks warm up.

Next, I either do agility ladder drills or a short circuit training (12 reps, 2-3 sets). You can always google the easy ones but it usually composes of push ups, sit ups, mountain climbers, froggers, star jump, tuck in jump, russian twist, etc. I prefer the ladder drills because I enjoy this specific type of exercise!

Then I do either boxing or may thai, which is my main exercise. I do about 3 rounds then rest for a while and do 2 rounds of speed ball before the last 2-3 rounds. I personally enjoy may thai more but my legs get easily bruised up, that’s why I don’t do it everyday. Plus, may thai helps me get rid of my lower stomach, which is my problem area.

I get extremely tired after all these but if I still have the energy, I usually do 10 reps/ 3 sets of bicep curl, side weight lift and squats. I do this for my arms and butt.

I usually bring my personal workout gear like jump rope, mat and ball at the gym because I’m OC and I want to use my own things. I bought everything at Besco and I love how even if I don’t have time to go to the gym, at least I can workout at home. You can do so much with these simple workout gear, I swear! Buy weights too.

When I workout, sometimes I wear a waist trainer so my tummy can sweat more. I got mine from Besco as well.

After the intense workout, I cool down by doing my daily ab workout routine. 20 sets of full sit ups, crunches, bicycle, russian twist, leg raise, scissors, planking and side planks. And I’m done!!!!!

Oh! And of course, you also have to eat healthy… and look good at the gym as well. I noticed buying new workout clothes pushed me in a way to go to the gym because you don’t want your new training clothes to just be sitting inside your closet, right? I found Pink Salmon Clothing and their gym clothes are all so cute and colourful! Go to the gym the sporty and fashionable way. BMS.

      What’s your motivation on going to the gym like everyday? my bestfriend and i can barely finish jogging a single round in the up oval. :(
