It’s really more fun in the Philippines. I’ve been to Bohol twice before but I don’t remember it being this beautiful- maybe because I was still a little girl the first time I went touring around Bohol with my relatives and couldn’t remember much. The second time I went here was probably 6-7 years ago with my college besties and all we did was island hop! This time around, I made sure to fully experience and remember my entire trip. I stayed at Henann Resort Bohol, which is a very nice resort if you’re a water baby. They have pools everywhere!!! It’s the biggest beach resort in Panglao Island and it sits on the pristine shores of Alona beach.
Nicole and I stayed in one huge room because we’re clingy and want to bond all night. I really don’t mind waking up to this view everyday.
What I like about Henann Resort Bohol is that you’ll be seeing the colors blue and green everywhere. I really love that they have this Bali vibe when you’re inside the pool swimming. It makes you so relaxed that you’ll end up staying inside the pool the whole afternoon (this is what happened to me haha).
I find it irresistibly hard to say no to food when I’m at the beach- ironic right? Although it’s not new to me because I never say no to food, especially desserts lol. They have a table buffet and a grilling station so I got unlimited prawns and squid! YUM.
We did a short tour around Bohol and visited the Tarsier Sanctuary. I didn’t know that tarsiers are very territorial and that they need to have their own space. They’re also hard to find because they’re so tiny.
We also saw the Chocolate Hills. It was very hazy during our visit so you won’t really see the hills up until the very end, but I can still say it was worth the visit. We had to climb hundreds of steps just to set a glimpse of this view too!
Hello Mahogany man-made forest. Isn’t this such an amazing sight to see? I don’t remember seeing this the first time I went to Bohol. There were cars everywhere but good thing I found this empty space… ootd time!
Heidi Manabat, Henann Resort’s awesome marketing manager, also mentioned that they just recently opened Kai Spa. The spa place was still under renovation when we were there so we got our massages inside our room.
The beach is just a few steps away from the resort. How cool is that!
Henann Resort made a special menu for us during dinner and we also ate near the beach. It was actually quite a romantic set up.
After the tour, we went back to Henann Resort to fully relax and enjoy our stay in Bohol. It’s really an amazing feeling if you know you have nothing to do but just relax and unwind. The resort is strategically designed to make you feel like you’re in paradise- I literally didn’t open my laptop to work my entire stay. We also transferred to a villa the second day so we’re closer to the beach.. but who needs a beach if we have our own pool! I had such an amazing stay and I can’t wait to go back- I’m definitely going back. BMS.
