Digital Fashion Week Bangkok Day 2. I can’t even remember what I did during the day but I guess I was too busy to take outfit shots. Bangkok really knows how to throw a fashion show. The runway and lights were beautiful. Vatanika’s show started with guys wearing only their underwear and a girl in a tuxedo. Her pieces were a mixture and a combination of femininity and masculinity and how a girl can still look sophisticated while all covered up in a suit and sleek cigarette pants. Blazers paired with skirts, Lacey tops paired with pants- they’re all representations of women with power. I love it.
Q Design and Play’s SS ’15 collection called “Weird Dream” is a dedication to all the victims of bullying. As you can see, they’re all wearing dental head gears.. but seriously, I don’t think you’ll be bullied if you dress this stylish in real life. I specifically loved the model wearing stripes on stripes on stripes.
Wonder Anatomie’s collection is my favorite. How you you not love these prints. As a maximalist, I really loved how he layered all kinds of prints, like the rib cage jacket over the tropical leggings and how he used neoprene to make the ovoid tops. Mixing outrageous prints with other form of textures like fur and leather, Wonder Anatomie’s pieces definitely stole my heart and made me want to buy his entire collection.
Abnormal’s “couple” look can definitely make all the lovers out there a super stylish duo. It’s cool how the pairs look similar but still different at the same time. This timely paradox just magnifies how much fashion can be diverse through a play on elements that can show harmony through careful attention to detail. I’m so excited to share with you guys Digital Fashion Week Bangkok Day 3.
